• Vintage:  1960's
• Details:  This is such a wonderful mid-century modern pattern, it embodies the look and feel of that time.  It consists of Turquoise Blue and Tan Starbursts with thin geometric Black lines.  This china is not bright white, it has a subtle cream tone. We found it in a catalog, circa 1955, it's called HOP SCOTCH, not sure when it started being called North Star.  If this is your pattern, we hope our pieces add to your collection.  We carry an additional set of 4 saucers at a lower price point, but the pattern on those saucers have minor issues, if you need more saucers, please take a look at the other listing.  Saucers make wonderful under-plates for vinegar or oil bottles, planters, kitchen sponge, and creative crafts.

• Condition:  Vintage - Used.  Excellent Condition.  There are no cracks, chips, crazing or visible scratches on these plates. The Salem China Company was founded in 1898 by six gentlemen: Patrick & John McNicol, Daniel & Cornelius Cronin, and William & E. J. Smith.  In 1918 they were acquired by F. A. Sebring, (Sebring Pottery Company, founded by the Sebring brothers in 1887), who continued manufacturing under the Salem name until 1967.  Starting in 1968, it remained in business as a sales and distribution company, distributing: Corningware, plus crystal, flatware, and teapots made by James Sadler Company.
